Arraial do Cabo
Arraial do Cabo is one of the most spectacular destinations in Brazil. Arraial is an excellent choice for those looking for a relaxing vacation because of its easy access, low prices, sunny days, and beautiful beaches. The Copacabana and Ipanema beaches in downtown Rio de Janeiro are well-known, but a few hours northeast is another peninsula that puts Rio's inner-city beaches to shame.
For divers, be sure to check out the shipwreck dive sites and the Blue Grotto. Arraial do Cabo is authentic, rustic, and relaxed. A 30-minute bus ride away is the town of Cabo Frio, and there is also a beautiful beach called Praia do Forte, where a small inlet adjacent to the beach creates crystal clear still waters ideal for diving, snorkeling, and swimming. The "alert" prepares tourists' hearts for the inevitable shock when they see the first of Arraial do Cabo's beaches. Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia, Praia do Farol, Praia Grande, Praia dos Anjos, and Praia Forno are some of the most beautiful beaches in Arraial do Cabo, which is made up of a small network of winding streets. For divers, be sure to check out the shipwreck dive sites and the Blue Grotto.
