Paraty
Paraty ranks 4th in the list of the most beautiful coastal towns in Brazil. With its immaculately preserved colonial center and verdant green backdrop of steep, jungled mountains, Paraty is widely regarded as having one of Brazil's most breathtaking settings. Follow the scenic forest trail to Sono Beach for untouched white sand, or head to the shores of Pontal for a private beach experience. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg; there are over 65 islands and 200 beaches to explore in Paraty. The town, which has been designated a National Historic Site since 1966, exudes elegance with white buildings adorned with multi-hued borders and latticed windows that complement the quaint cobblestone streets.
With its colonial charm and undeniable natural beauty, it's no surprise that the town is popular with both Brazilian and international visitors. Many artists, chefs, and writers have chosen to settle in Paraty, causing the city to become more cosmopolitan. Praia do Sono, Praia da Trindade, Praia da Lula, and Saco do Mamangua are all beautiful beaches and natural areas. Ubatuba is an hour's drive north of Paraty.
