Jericoacoara
Jericoacoara, or 'Jeri,' as it is affectionately referred to, is nestled between a magnificent national park and the brilliantly turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The Washington Post named "Jeri" as one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world, with blue lagoons, calm seas, and massive dunes. Jeri meets the criteria for a tropical paradise with its alluring hard-to-reach location, stunning coastal landscapes, and exciting activities. The majority of visitors drive to Jeri from Fortaleza (an approximate 3-hour flight north from Sao Paulo).
This former fishing village is known for its charming sandy streets, live forró music, enchanting mangroves, and expansive dunes. The freshwater lagoons are what draw visitors from all over the world. Lagoa do Paraiso entices visitors with its hammocks suspended from overwater stilts, offering breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters. Pedra Furada, a striking rock formation sculpted by the waters and winds, is another natural wonder to visit.
