Assistance Publique (AP-HP)
Assistance Publique (AP-HP) is the university hospital trust that serves Paris and its environs. It is Europe's and one of the world's largest hospital systems, providing treatment, teaching, research, prevention, education, and emergency services in 52 medical specialties.
It employs more than 90,000 workers in 44 hospitals (including 15,800 physicians), researchers, paramedical staff, administrative staff, and workers, and sees more than 5.8 million patients each year. As the university hospital serving the city and its environs, it is tied to the University of Paris and its seven faculties of medicine, two of odontology, and two of pharmacy.
AP-HP is divided into numerous hospital local trusts, each of which is affiliated with a faculty member and provides integrative treatment to its residents. The AP-HP provides public health services to the general public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This mission is both a responsibility and a source of great pride for them.
