Geneva University Hospitals ( HUG )

Geneva Academic Hospitals ( HUG ) is the country's largest hospital and one of Switzerland's university institutions. This is one of Europe's largest hospitals. HUG was created in 1995 as a union of all Geneva hospital corporations, and it was originally founded in 1535.

In the Canton of Geneva, the HUG operates eight hospitals and 40 outpatient clinics. HUG's Care Directorate has developed a research agenda to identify research priorities in the field of care, as well as to coordinate and guide research activities in the field of care, including research into: care quality and safety, symptom management, therapeutic education and health behaviors, innovative interventions, translation of good practice in care, and care organization and delivery.
