Aston Villa Football Club
Aston Villa Football Club is an English professional football club based in Birmingham. The club competes in the English Premier League, the highest division of the English football league system. Founded in 1874, they have played their home matches at Villa Park since 1897. Aston Villa were a founding member of the Football League in 1888 and a founding member of the Premier League in 1992. Villa was one of five British clubs to win the European Cup in the 1981-82 season. They also won the Football League First Division 7 times, the FA Cup 7 times, the League Cup 5 times and the UEFA Super Cup once.
Aston Villa's traditional rival is the Birmingham City club. The match is known as the Birmingham derby or otherwise known as the Second City Derby and has been played since 1879. The club's traditional colors are wine red and sky blue.
