Liverpool Football Club is an English professional football club, based in the city of Liverpool, county Merseyside, currently playing in the English Premier League. Liverpool is the most successful club in England with 7 FA Cups, 8 Carabao Cups, 15 Community Shield Cups, 1 Football League Super Cup, 6 UEFA Champions League Cups, 3 UEFA Europa League Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 19 Cups Premier League and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

Liverpool was founded on 3 June 1892 by John Houlding and advanced to the national league the following year. The team has used Anfield's home ground since its inception until now. The team was very successful in the 70s and 80s, under coaches Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, they won 11 national championships and 7 European titles.

Liverpool is seen as a global brand, with a 2010 report valuing the club's trademarks and related intellectual property at £141 million, up £5 million on the previous year. Liverpool is rated AA (Very Strong). In April 2010, Forbes magazine ranked Liverpool as the sixth most valuable football team in the world, behind Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with a club value of around $832 million. The Deloitte Audit ranked Liverpool 8th in the Deloitte Football Money League, ranking the world's football clubs in terms of revenue. Liverpool earned an income of €225.3 million in the 2009-10 season.
