Everton Football Club
Everton Football Club is a professional football club based in Liverpool, England. They currently play in the English Premier League, the top league in the English football system. Everton have entered the top flight for a record 117 seasons and won the Premier League nine times, and the FA Cup five times.
Formed in 1878, Everton was a founding member of The Football League in 1888 and won their first championship two seasons later. After four Premier League titles and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a second world war period shortly after their recovery in the 1960s, when the club won two league titles and a FA Cup. The mid-1980s were their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, the FA Cup, and the European Cup in 1985. The club's most recent FA Cup was the 1995 FA Cup.
The club's supporters are known as Everton. Everton has a fierce rivalry with their neighbours, Liverpool, and both sides play the Merseyside match. This club has been located at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, since 1892. The club's home colors are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.
