Chef Sean Brock's Audrey restaurant is a tribute to his Appalachian roots as well as a showcase for his personal art collection. The breathtakingly beautiful interior feels like a warm, welcoming museum, and visitors are encouraged to explore what's on display, which includes Mary Mooney's ethereal abstracts and a wide range of folk art, as well as Brock's own photography. The art on the walls, according to the chef, inspires the restaurant's food. Brock combines ordinary ingredients to create something entirely new and luxurious, much like artists do with textiles and materials.
The restaurant features a prix fixe experience, and The Bar offers five unique and new cocktails daily. With the restaurant’s hyper-focus on sourcing, items and preparations are subject to change. The food is very rich. It has strawberry gazpacho, greasy beans, lion's mane mushroom, Jimmy read corn, ramps, swiss chard, and so on. The waiters and service are great.
