Ayala Museum: Know The History

The Ayala Museum is a modern museum that features a wide range of exhibits about the people of the Philippines, tracing their history from ancient times to the present. The extensive ethnological and archaeological exhibits focus on Filipino culture, history, art, and heritage.

The museum is located in the heart of the Makati Central Business District, providing a relaxing and educational respite from the city's chaos. After learning about the country's history, you can quickly return to the modern world by visiting the nearby shopping center. There are also numerous dining and entertainment options in the surrounding area.

The Ayala Museum
charges an affordable admission fee of 425 pesos for adults, which grants access to all four floors of galleries, including both permanent and temporary exhibitions. On the first floor, they usually hold weekly events to promote art and culture, particularly works by local artists.

Photography is usually prohibited on the first floor, so double-check. The same is true on the fourth floor, which houses an incredible collection of pre-Hispanic gold jewelry and artifacts. On the third floor, there is a nice gift shop where you can buy home décor, art books, and other gift items.

The 60 dioramas on the second floor depicting Philippine history from the early cavemen to the present day are the highlight of the Ayala Museum tour. For a truly immersive experience, we recommend taking the audio tour. If you enjoy miniatures and maritime history, you'll appreciate the meticulously crafted ship models on display.
