National Museum Complex: Place For History Lovers
It is one of the best places for kids to visit in Manila. Filipinos are extremely proud of their history and heritage, which is on display at the National Museum Complex in Manila. The government does not charge admission to the museum complex because the government wants people from all over the world to see the history of the Philippines in one of the best places to visit in Manila alone without getting bored! The National Art Gallery, the Museum of the Filipino People, and the Planetarium are all part of the complex.
Furthermore, the National Museum has over ten branches located throughout the country, representing the origins and visual representations of Philippine culture. The National Museum manages and develops national reference collections in cultural heritage (fine arts, anthropology, and archaeology) and natural history (botany, zoology, geology, and paleontology), as well as conducting ongoing research in biodiversity, geological history, human origins, pre-historical and historical archaeology, maritime and underwater cultural heritage, ethnology, art history, and moveable and immovable cultural properties.
Exhibitions, publications, educational, training, outreach, technical assistance, and other public programs are used to spread appreciation for the Museum's collections and research findings, as well as technical and museological skills and knowledge. The National Museum also implements and serves as the government's regulatory and enforcement agency for a number of cultural laws, and is in charge of a number of culturally significant properties, sites, and reservations across the country. It is the lead agency in the official commemoration of Museums and Galleries Month, which occurs every October.
