Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter game that stresses collaboration, similar to its predecessors. It is set during World War I and is based on actual events. To engage opponents, players can employ World War I weaponry such as bolt-action rifles, submachine guns, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, and poison gas. DICE overhauled melee combat, incorporating new melee weapons like sabers, trench clubs, and shovels into the game. These melee weapons were classified as heavy, medium, or light.
Players can also pilot light and heavy tanks, armored trucks, automobiles, torpedo boats, bi-, and tri-plane planes, an armored railway, reconnaissance vehicles, a dreadnought, and an M-class zeppelin, as well as horses into battle. Destructible surroundings and weapon customization, which were featured in prior games, have returned and have become more dynamic in Battlefield 1. In the campaign, players can take control of many characters. If the player dies during the prologue, instead of reloading from a checkpoint, they will assume control of another soldier and duty. Tank gunner to rifleman are examples of these positions. Unlike its predecessors, the game contains a collection of war stories, much like an anthology.
