Death Stranding

Kojima Productions created the action game, Dead Standing. It is the first game by director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their 2015 departure from Konami. It was released in November 2019 by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and in July 2020 by 505 Games for Windows. In September 2021, a director's cut version was published for the PlayStation 5, followed by a release for Windows in March 2022.

Death Stranding is an open-world action game with asynchronous internet functionality. Death Stranding is referred to by Kojima as the first "strand game", an innovative genre defined by the game's use of social features. Kojima contrasted this genre to how his previous game Metal Gear, which is today considered a stealth game, was labeled as an action game during its first release since the stealth genre had not yet been formed.

The player takes control of Sam Bridges, a porter for the BRIDGES corporation. The player is entrusted with bringing supplies to several isolated cities known as KNOTs, as well as isolated researchers and survivalists, while also connecting them to the Chiral Network communications system. The firm and receivers rate the player based on their performance, which includes whether the cargo was delivered and if it is undamaged, among other things.
