Beijing Zoo – Largest Animal Collection In China
Beijing Zoo is a zoo located in the capital of the People's Republic of China. The Beijing Zoo holds great significance for the Chinese folk and it was founded in 1906 during the rule of the Qing dynasty. Beijing Zoo has about 450 different species of animals and about 5,000 animals. It is also known for having the largest animal collection in China.
Visitors can see different types of animals such as the Great Chinese Salamanders, giant pandas, South Chinese tigers, etc. Beijing Zoo is also one of the most visited tourist destinations in China, with over 6 million visitors annually.
