Nehru Zoological Park

Founded in 1963, Nehru Zoological Park embraces 380 acres (153.8 hectares) near the Mir Alam Reservoir in Hyderabad, India. Nehru Zoo has over 1,100 animals of 100 species. Interestingly, Indian animals such as the Indian rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, and leopard also live here.

You may also see Asian lions, gauers, elephants, pythons, antelopes, deer and slender loris. Also, many birds live here. The popular night house is the main attraction. Thanks to the artificial day and night system, visitors can see night bums like bats. Watch out for leopards, owls, and hedgehogs. It is useful to see these nocturnal animals during the day. In addition, there are zoos such as an aquarium, butterfly park, dinosaur park, and turtle park. Nehru Zoological Park also has an animal adoption program.
