The Bell Super Air R was the comfiest helmet we tested, and it also provided the most comprehensive protection – particularly for mountain cyclists. Among the finest bike helmets we examined, it was the only one with a chin guard to shield you in the event of an off-road head crash, and it fit more snugly (but still comfortably) than any others.

The Bell Super Air R, like previous Bell models, has dial-in Float fitting mechanisms. However, it also features more cushioning on the inside and a padding layer that extends farther back for a more secure fit. If you feel like the chin shield is too forceful and rather unnecessary on downtown streets, then do not worry, as it can easily be extracted. The helm also has three levels for visibility, so you can move it back if you are climbing a hill and don't want it to hinder your vision.

All in all, if you are a committed bike rider, the Bell Super Air R could be the finest purchase you can make.
