POC Ventral Lite

The POC Ventral Lite is the nicest cycling helmet we have ever tried. It is also the most open (and hence, the lightest!). So if you often find yourself sweating excessively under most helmets, that might be the answer for you.

However, the POC Ventral achieves its featherweight status by using a regular expanded styrene (EPS) foam lining rather than a MIPS construction or POC's proprietary SPIN system. As a result, you are sacrificing some advanced crash safety to retain some weight savings.

In addition, we also discovered that the POC Ventral Lite was not as comfy as other models; to be more specific, even after tightening the helmet using POC's dial-to-tighten mechanism, we could still sense the roughness from the firm PC shell in certain areas. If you still love to purchase this model, then we believe that a couple more padding (which POC often offers with their ski helmets) would solve this problem in a blink.
