Bistro de l’Arte
If you have a bicycle, you can leave it on a narrow street in Brașov's old town, beside a small terrace in front of an old home. The atmosphere of Bistro de l’Arte, with its arched beige ceilings and red brick columns, invites you to take a break and enjoy a tasty piece of the arts while sitting down to a table of traditional Romanian food modernized.
Chef and owner Oana Coantă traveled around the country in search of buried treasures of hereditary recipes that deliver authentic flavors.
At Bistro de l’Arte, simple recipes are slowly cooked over a flame of passion for good and wholesome food, using largely materials from small entrepreneurs' gardens. Traditional flavors such as well-done cabbage rolls with grits, crispy cornmeal pancakes, sausage cooked in wine and apple sauce, and winter pie (if you go during the cold season) will entice gourmet travelers, as well Central European-inspired flavors. Two of them are delicious onion soup and melt-in-your-mouth brownies. And for soup lovers, Bistro de l'Arte is the place to go because it has a large selection.
