Clos des Colombes

While on vacation on the Black Sea coast, Anne Marie Rosenberg noticed a vineyard and farmhouse in disrepair from the window of a bus, with doves circling above.

Without being able to communicate in Romanian, she returned to discover the location, and thus began her grape-growing and gastronomic journey, which continues to delight our senses today. The rustic and modern details in the décor at Clos des Colombes complement each other like well-harmonized colors on paint, much like wine and food do.

The delicate delicacies that nearly generate themselves, neither totally French or Romanian but inspired by both, satisfy Anne Rosenberg's objective of providing an amazing experience to every guest.

Anne Rosenberg is a trained taster who hails from a long line of wine growers, thus the wine list is beautiful. This is how a sampling tour might look: White Terra from 2009 served with shrimp muffins, catfish canapés, and an original Delta flatbread with secret ingredients; a soft Sauvignon from 2010 served with a mini baguette with goat cheese au gratin, prosciutto local asparagus, and soufflé omelet; 2013 Pinot Noir served with crispy chicken wings and flatbread, confit vegetables, and asparagus cream; 2009 Terra Rosa, a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Black Maiden, and Shiraz, served with turkey lasagna, rice. Desserts like lavender ice cream or cherry clafoutis go well with a 2008 Sauvignon Blanc.
