KAIAMO
When you walk into the new KAIAMO, you enter a world of symbolism and secret stories, all of which are embodied in the beautifully renovated wood rescued from demolished houses. The traditional mask on display at the entryway is a symbol (and logo) of perpetual change and progress, which is also the restaurant's driving force, fueled by a fear of mediocrity.
From every ornamental element to separating the salon into four zones, each with a view of the open kitchen, Radu Ionescu created everything as a tribute to Romania: the night zone or lounge (Moldova), day zone (Muntenia), bar zone (Translivania), and platform zone (Maramureș).
Chef's Corner, named after the proprietor, is a more private location for tasting the food, ideal for family dinners or creative parties. The cuisine is divided into four categories: land, sea, garden, and desserts. One meal that attracted our attention was burning heart, but you learn the names of the dishes and the wonders beyond them for yourself. And here's a taste of the desserts: white chocolate with jasmine and rose buds from a nearby monastery.
