Syndicat Gourmet
Once you learn about one of Sibiu's most challenging gastronomic adventures, you'll be on the lookout for Syndicat Gourmet, a hidden bistro on a side street near Big Square. You can submit to a warm sensation far away from the crowded world in the coziness of what seems like a wine cellar, with its red bricks and dark brown wooden beams.
The food is influenced by the two founders' and chefs' travels, which brought back a passion for aromatic diversity, exotic spices, and a love of India. Traditional Romanian cuisine is served here, with fresh ingredients sourced primarily from the local market and boldly recreated with Indian spices.
This fusion produces an odd flavor profile as well as some intriguingly named meals like tarragon lemonade, which is surprisingly tasty and refreshing. Sweet-sour seabuckthorn pie, beetroot brownie, garlic cream soup, beef tongue with mirabelle sauce, and duck breast are among the other dishes recommended by our reviewers. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free alternatives, and the service is prompt and courteous.
