Bogor Agric University(IPB)
The origins of IPB may be traced back to 1940, when the country's first agricultural higher education was held. The IPB was formally created on September 1, 1963, based on the Minister of Higher Education and Science's Decree No. 91/1963 and authorized by the President of the Republic of Indonesia's Decree No. 279/1965.
Bogor Agric University is a premier education school with international acclaim. To be more specific, they were named Indonesia's most innovative institution. This is due to their objective of being a research-based university that leads in innovation for national independence, as well as a techno-social entrepreneurial institution that excels globally in agriculture, marine, and tropical biosciences. The welcoming gate at IPB Campus Darmaga is the first thing IPB students see when they arrive on campus. The campus sits on the western outskirts of Bogor City and Bogor District. It is surrounded by 17 villages, which have around 1300 houses/rooms for rent and are home to over 25.000 IPB students.
