Chamomile tea
Chamomile is a herb that comes from the Asteraceae plant family's daisy-like blossoms. Chamomile flowers have been used for centuries to treat a range of illnesses, including insomnia. Chamomile includes a number of active chemical components, including apigenin, which binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain and has a mild calming effect.
Chamomile also includes apigenin, an antioxidant that promotes muscle relaxation and sleep. Chamomile was proven to improve sleep quality safely in a review of 12 research. Another research looked at how chamomile tea influenced 80 women who had recently given birth and were having trouble sleeping. When compared to a control group, they reported less sleep-difficulty-related symptoms after two weeks.
