Culinary Institute of America

The Culinary Institute of America is ranked third on the list of the best culinary schools. The Culinary Institute of America now has campuses around the United States, as well as an overseas campus in Singapore. This school was founded primarily to train to returning World War II veterans, with 50 pupils enrolled at the outset. The institute's three US locations provide associate degrees, but only the main campus in New York offers a bachelor's degree to culinary students. Food and wine fans can choose from a number of programs, some lasting only a few hours and others like a multi-day boot camp.

For the 2013-2014 school year, Greystone's Associate Degree in Culinary Arts is a 21-month program divided into four semesters, each having a tuition charge of $13,230. Other scholarships and incentives for qualified culinary arts students are offered at universities in New York, California, and Texas.
