Durham University
Durham University, in comparison to Cambridge and Oxford, is a relatively modern institution of higher education — yet it is by no means old. Its spectacular architecture has been hailed as "one of Europe's finest experiences for those who admire architecture."
Durham, like Oxford and Cambridge, is separated into colleges that were formed at various times of its development. One of these, University College, is housed in Durham Castle, which was erected in the 11th century, and only 100 students are chosen to live and study there. Currently, the university is rated 86th in the world.
Durham University was founded in 1832 and is regarded as one of the greatest institutions in the United Kingdom. Durham is consistently listed among the top 100 institutions in the world. Durham Academic ensures an experience in a spectacular environment; several of its about 60 buildings are frequently considered as some of the most attractive university architecture in the UK.
