University of Aberdeen

The University of Aberdeen, which completed the four major ancient Scottish institutions, was founded in 1495 and is presently placed 207th in the QS World University Rankings 2021.


The university's prominent buildings, such as Marischal College and King's College in Old Aberdeen, are well known icons of Aberdeen, which is located far north of the United Kingdom on the east coast of Scotland, as well as the city's strong academic tradition. The institution has produced a number of prominent alumni, including five Nobel laureates.
