University of St Andrews
The Institution of St Andrews, founded between 1410 and 1413, is Scotland's oldest university. St Andrew's now has around 11,000 students enrolled. The institution is consistently ranked in the top 100 in worldwide rankings, which is consistent with its slogan, "Ever to achieve." Among the numerous well-known alumni of St Andrews University are B. C. Forbes (founder of Forbes magazine) and Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.
The oldest university in Scotland and the third oldest in the United Kingdom. It is now rated 96th in the world and 17th in the United Kingdom. Some of the university's structures, such as St Salvator's Chapel, St Leonard's College Chapel, and St Mary's College, date back to the 15th century and are still in use today.
