Erdiston Teachers’ Training College
The Erdiston Teachers' Training College, located in Pine Hill, Bridgetown, Barbados, is one of the greatest universities in the Caribbean. It is linked with the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies' School of Education.
Erdiston is primarily concerned with teacher education and thus offers the following programs. Bachelor of Education: Erdiston's BSc. program is designed to prepare and equip individuals who want to pursue a career as a teacher. This program is for practicing instructors who have a diploma or an Associate Degree and want to upgrade to a bachelor's degree. Last but not least, there's the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership. This program is designed to develop and equip teachers for positions of leadership in the classroom.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and a certification in teacher education. The Barbados Accreditation Council has registered Erdiston Teachers' Training College, but it has not yet been accredited.
