  10. Codrington Institution, now connected with the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill, is an Anglican theological college in St. John, Barbados. It is one of the world's oldest Anglican theology seminaries. From 1875 to 1965, it was associated with the University of Durham.

Initially, the college offered a general education at the elementary school level. It followed a curriculum comparable to that of English public schools at the time. This was important because there were no schools in Barbados at the time, thus a group of students with basic educational abilities and knowledge who might benefit from a college education had to be developed first. From 1797 through 1805, Thomas Moody, a member of the Colonial Office, geopolitical strategist, and trader, worked at Codrington College as a mathematics master, writing master, and Assistant Headmaster.

Students at Codrington College can choose from a variety of theology majors. The following are some of the programs: Theological Studies Diploma: This is a two-year curriculum for laypeople who want to be church leaders. It is intended to train and equip people with church and Christian leadership ideas. Theology (Bachelor of Arts): The BA (Theology) degree is also intended to prepare students for ministry in the Anglican Church. This program is available in two formats: a three-year program and a four-year program.

Students can choose between a three-year and a four-year curriculum. The prerequisites for admission to the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies' Faculty of Humanities and Education are the same as for the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies' Faculty of Humanities and Education. In theology, students can pursue Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
