George's Café
At Segerstrom Center for the Arts, we're introducing George's Café. George's Café, located in the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza in the heart of Orange County's cultural district, provides lunch Monday through Friday and lunch and supper during performance hours. As a comfortable outdoor dining location for locals and guests alike, George's Café brings the community together.
George's Cafe is a little eatery founded by an American expat with years of culinary experience in the United States. The vibe and interior design are more akin to a hip Tribeca café than a Dhaka restaurant. The menu includes filling sandwiches such as Italian chicken sausage with sundried tomatoes or tender spiced BBQ beef, as well as a variety of New York-style hot dogs with Big Apple-themed names such as the Times Square Dog (sauerkraut with BBQ onion and yellow mustard) and the Wall Street Dog (kimchi, relish, and brown mustard). A brownie washed down with a nice cup of coffee makes a lighter snack.
Greg Stillman, who is also the Executive Chef at Leatherby's Café Rouge across the street, has created a distinctly Americana menu with Southern California elements, utilizing locally produced products. All day, a full coffee and espresso bar is open, using freshly roasted Intelligentsia beans. George's Café is the latest addition to Chef and Founder Joachim Splichal's bicoastal portfolio of 60+ boutique eateries.
