Mermaid Cafe
While Dhaka has a wide range of dining options, there are a number of excellent eateries outside of the capital, like the Mermaid Cafe. It's part of the Mermaid Eco-Resort in Cox's Bazar, a seaside town and fishing port in south-eastern Bangladesh noted for its 78-mile-long coastline, one of the world's longest. The Mermaid Cafe is situated on a length of this beautiful beach that overlooks the Bay of Bengal. It specializes in seafood caught daily from Cox's Bazar and serves a mix of Bangladeshi and internationally inspired meals. Fresh lobster, stuffed Indian salmon, grilled snapper, and garlic prawns with spinach linguine are just a few of the options.
The Mermaid's long, lazy gallery veranda creates the scene for a stunning sunset view of Lake Caroline, which they recommend sipping an icy margarita or a crisp chardonnay while doing so. The location is also ideal for a family dinner, with plenty to keep everyone entertained (including the little ones). Watch your favorite team while enjoying a refreshing beer and a platter of sandbar shrimp or thin-fried catfish at the bar.
The Mermaid is like finding a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation, whether you reside in Madison County or are just seeking to get away from the frantic metropolitan grind. Their menu is well-known for its delectable variety. There's grilled redfish, gulf shrimp, and, of course, Mississippi-raised catfish on the menu. However, they offer much more than fish on their menu, including steaks, sandwiches, and even pizza!
