The 8
The 8 is a fantastic pan-Asian restaurant that takes its name from the Buddhist Eightfold Path to Enlightenment. The high-end eatery offers a strong and inventive menu that combines traditional Asian recipes with modern ingredients. Wherever feasible, ingredients are found locally, with high-quality meats imported from Australia.
The 8's food has taken on a notable Thai flavor since the appointment of chef Luam, who built Dhaka's first Thai restaurant Sawasdee in the 1990s. Larb gai, a spicy minced chicken salad, and pla pae-sa, steamed red snapper with lime, basil, and chillies, are two dishes to look forward to. Classic pan-Asian foods like hot masak merah chicken, a Malay-inspired dish, and nasi goreng, an Indonesian fried rice dish, are still accessible. When you dine at Eight, the world is your oyster, from freshly rolled sushi, juicy prime steaks, and delectable seafood to genuine Indian curries and delectable desserts.
The self-service food buffet is no longer available, and Eight is now providing seated table service. A maximum of ten individuals can be seated at one table, and all visitors, event organizers, and employees must wear a face mask at all times, even when eating or drinking.
