Get the Party Started

The lead single from American singer Pink's second album, Missundaztood, Get the Party Started, was released to the public on October 16, 2001. (2001). It got favorable reviews, became a global hit, peaked at number one in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Romania, Spain, and the Walloon region of Belgium, and reached the top ten in many more nations. It was Pink's most popular song at the time.

The song was voted 185th on Q Magazine's list of the "1001 Best Songs Ever" in 2003. The song was ranked first on About.com's 2019 list of "The Top 100 Best Party Songs of All Time." The song was added to the B-List on BBC Radio 1's playlist and received exposure internationally, too.

Jason "Pit" Pittman created the rap rock tune. A number of notable rock musicians are mentioned in the song's lyrics, including Marilyn Manson, The Osbournes, Kiss, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Travis Barker.
