On the Floor

For her seventh studio album, Love?, American singer Jennifer Lopez recorded the song On the Floor (2011). It was made available by Island Records on February 8, 2011, serving as the album's debut single and starring American rapper Pitbull. It has a common time pace of 130 beats per minute and is a dance-oriented up-tempo electro-house and dance-pop tune. In addition to including aspects of electro house, On the Floor also draws musical inspiration from techno, eurodance, and Latin music. The song "Ven a Bailar" (English: "Come to Dance"), which Lopez recorded, with extra lyrical contributions by Jimena Romero and Julio Reyes Copello.

A1 x J1 and Tion Wayne, two British drill rappers, used "On The Floor" as a sample in 2022 for their song "Night Away (Dance)". The song was released on March 3, 2022, and two weeks later it made its UK Singles Chart début at number eleven.
