Gällnö
Gällnö is one of the unique islands in Sweden, with pristine beaches and beautiful farmland. It has beaches in the form of patches, a narrow gravel road, several protected natural moorings, and a well-cultivated landscape. The pretty huts in traditional Swedish red, the houseboats, and the cottages are pleasantly collected under gnarled apple trees in the village of Gällnö.
In addition, Gällnö has several shops and inns, and bars known for their delicious food. Spacious open areas with scattered red cabins and a well-preserved arable landscape. Fields, grasslands, parkland, and forests are leased to the farmers. Forestry on Gällnö has a strong focus on conservation.
Torsviken offers a natural anchorage, camping, and sandy beaches. A narrow sound separates Gällnö from Karklö, which can be reached by island hopper boats. Karklö is also an island with agriculture and livestock, where the third generation of the family are now tenants.
