Väderöarna
Rounding out our list of the most beautiful islands in Sweden is Väderöarna. Väderöarna is one of Sweden's westernmost archipelagos, just outside Fjällbacka in the Bohuslän archipelago. In this nature reserve, you can hike, swim, watch seals and seabirds, enjoy fresh seafood and spend the night in a cozy inn.
The relatively small island offers ornithologists, anglers, divers, and nature lovers a multitude of exciting experiences, both onshore and underwater. Hike between the cliffs or on a nature trail that stretches past the island's historic sites, such as the Kompassrosen rock carving and pilot observatory.
The weather islands have one of Sweden's warmest but also windiest climates. It is one of Bohuslän's largest seal colonies, which can be enjoyed by boat in the summer. Birdlife is also very rich. Outside Väderöarna lies one of Sweden's two living coral reefs, inviting you to exciting diving adventures. Väderöarna is considered one of the country's most valuable seas and was designated a nature reserve in 2012.
