GOEN.J
GOEN.J is a fashion label founded by designer Goen Jong in 2012. Jong obtained a degree in fashion design from Paris' Studio Berçot and specializes in lingerie design. Her designs merge architectural silhouettes with refined romanticism, creating a balance between delicate and structural patterns.
Shortly after its launch, GOEN.J's clothing was available in retail stores such as Harvey Nichols Hong Kong. In 2014, the label's pieces were featured in all branches of Barneys New York and Milan's Riccardo Grassi Showroom, giving the brand a foothold in the US and Europe. The label has since been carried by notable retailers such as Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, Bergdorf Goodman, and Moda Operandi. In 2017, Jong won the 12th Samsung Fashion & Design Fund, which recognized her ability to reinterpret familiar garments into modern, feminine designs.
Celebrities such as actress Michelle Pfeiffer and South Korean actress Han Ye-Ri have been spotted wearing GOEN.J designs. Pfeiffer wore a GOEN.J outfit for her The Edit cover story in 2017, while Ye-Ri wore a white pleated wrap dress from the label's 16SS collection in 2016.
