High Falls Lake
High Falls Lake, a 650-acre lake on the Towaliga River in Butts County close to the city of Jackson, is situated northwest of Macon. Anglers can catch bass, catfish, bream, crappie, and white bass in the rather shallow lake, as well as other species like crappie and white bass. The same-named state park in Georgia provides two boat ramps, boat rentals, camping, and hiking. Another well-known lake in Georgia, High Falls Lake is situated in the state park bearing the same name. It is located to the northwest of Macon and is called for the Towaliga River's cascading waterfalls.
Despite the fact that boats with more than 10 horsepower are not allowed here, boating is very popular on the lake. However, as a result, boating here is more tranquil, with less commotion and more leisure. It is one of the best fishing locations in Georgia and is particularly well-known for hybrid and white bass.
