High Falls Lake

High Falls Lake, a 650-acre lake on the Towaliga River in Butts County close to the city of Jackson, is situated northwest of Macon. Anglers can catch bass, catfish, bream, crappie, and white bass in the rather shallow lake, as well as other species like crappie and white bass. The same-named state park in Georgia provides two boat ramps, boat rentals, camping, and hiking. Another well-known lake in Georgia, High Falls Lake is situated in the state park bearing the same name.
