The International Community School Amman is a truly international coeducational day school that serves over 700 students from over 60 different countries and provides a top-notch education to students in grades 3 through 18. The Society for the International Community in Jordan (SICJ) is the organization's owner; it is an autonomous, private, non-profit organization.

Specialized facilities for sport, ICT, science, and the arts are available at the school's current location. It keeps making improvements to our facilities; in recent years, new sports facilities, a new library, and an extension of the secondary school have all been added. A brand-new Early Years center (for children ages 3-5) and a sizable new sports hall complex opened in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

English National Curriculum: English-speaking, UK-qualified teachers teach all subjects in English in the English National Curriculum (ENSC), which has been adjusted for our regional and global environment. All students follow a well-rounded curriculum that incorporates the finest aspects of international, Jordanian, and British education. Children enrolled in Amman's International Community School Amman range in age from three to eighteen.

Following the National Curriculum for England and Wales, the curriculum is taught in Years 10 and 11, culminating in IGCSEs and GCSEs, which lead to AS- and A-levels in Year 13. There are also BTEC levels 2 and 3. After the academic year, UK examination boards administer external exams.

A continuous, lifelong process that fosters wonder, curiosity, and discovery is intercultural learning. Through teaching students to respect one another's and our own cultures, languages, and beliefs, the school fosters intercultural understanding. Thus, beginning in year one, the curriculum includes a choice of foreign language instruction in Arabic, French, or English.

International Community School operates on the September to July English-style school calendar, which comprises two terms and half-terms. Throughout the academic year, there are several holidays observed by schools, including the Eastern Orthodox Easter, the Jordanian Islamic public holidays, and the Western Calendar's customary winter break.

At International Community School Amman, a carefully planned, research-based curriculum is the foundation for high-quality instruction that is delivered in an interesting, demanding, and inclusive manner. Values are the focal point of instruction, and students are given the tools they need to take charge of their education.
