Mashrek International School
Accredited by the CIS, Mashrek International School is a coeducational, private, bilingual, IB World School. After working in the field of education for more than 35 years, both domestically and abroad, the school was able to follow the passion for teaching and learning with patience and persistence.
The IB Primary Years Programme, which we implement for students aged 3 to 10 from KG1 to grade 5, is focused on the development of the whole child as an inquirer in the outside world as well as the classroom. Mashrek International School is an official PYP-authorized school.
At Mashrek International School, Kindergarteners learn in a safe, fun environment with open-space learning spaces. Students explore and research four cross-disciplinary topics, enhancing their social, emotional, and cognitive abilities. This helps pupils understand real problems that require integrating knowledge from various subjects, enabling better problem-solving and inquiry.
Mashrek International School uses co-teaching in its Primary program. Co-teaching is an instructional delivery approach where two teachers, referred to as well-being mentors, share responsibility for organizing, carrying out, and evaluating instructional techniques for a group of students.
Six transdisciplinary themes offer the structure for knowledge exploration. Primary students learn about various subjects, gain valuable knowledge, acquire necessary skills, and develop the characteristics of the IB Learner Profile, which teaches them how to behave in a socially responsible manner.
Students complete six inquiry units in the PYP final year, one of which is showcased in the PYP Exhibition. During this unit, students work in groups to identify, research, and propose solutions to problems and issues they are interested in solving in real life.
Students between the ages of 10 and 16 can take advantage of academic challenges and develop their life skills through the IB Middle Years Programme, which is a well-organized and extensive curriculum framework. Students are inspired and supported to succeed in both school and life outside of the classroom by the MYP.
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous academic curriculum that balances academic challenges with external exams to prepare students, aged 16 to 19, for success in higher education and beyond. The goal of the DP is to support students' physical, mental, social, and intellectual development.
