Modern American School
The Modern American School is a private, coeducational, international school founded in the United States. It is coeducational, offering kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school education at all levels of primary and secondary education.
To meet the unique needs of every student at every educational level, each school employs highly qualified teachers and administrators from 22 different countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. There are students from 52 different countries, making up the diverse student body.
Students must obtain credits in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Languages to continue in the high school program. Additionally, they have a large selection of courses to choose from in disciplines like technology and engineering.
Every student at MAS strives to obtain the American High School Diploma (AHSD), which is the certificate given to students who complete a high school program after grade 12. Upon fulfilling the necessary prerequisites, students will be awarded an American High School Diploma.
In addition to advanced-level courses in English, English literature, Arabic, and French, Modern American School offers the following language programs, which are especially created to meet the needs of our diverse student body:
- French Studies Program
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Arabic as a Second Language (ASL).
Teaching students about technology and teaching them how to use iPads, laptops, and eBooks are part of the Modern American School curriculum. Additionally, it offers a community outreach program through which students participate in neighborhood-based endeavors like volunteer work and fundraising.
It is a Model United Nations school where students attend international conferences at the United Nations in New York, Harvard University MUN, and Yale MUN. The curriculum covers research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills in addition to diplomacy, international relations, and the UN.
