Iskanderkul
On the shores of Iskanderkul, listen to local traditions about Alexander the Great and his horse. Iskander is Alexander the Great's native name, while Kul means "lake." Hiking, camping, and swimming are all popular recreational activities in Iskanderkul Lake. It is one of the greatest glacial lakes in northwest Tajikistan and is situated between the magnificent Fann Mountains.
The lake is stunning, with a distinct vibe that will captivate you. The blue waters, which contrast with the red rocks of the highlands, create a unique atmosphere. After spending the day sunbathing on the lake's shores, spend the night at one of the neighboring guesthouses. As the sky darkens after nightfall, the lake takes on a surreal tranquillity.
Turbaza is the place to go if you want to explore the lake by boat. This is an ancient lakeside resort where you can rent a boat.
