Karakul Lake

Stunning skies, glistening lake, a fresh breeze, and the sounds of geese! Hello and welcome to Karakul. The primary feature of the Karakul town is the Karakul Lake, which is located in Tajik Pamir National Park (also a UNESCO World Heritage Site). As you walk around, you'll notice the lake's and the village's distinct atmosphere and desolation.

The lake's dazzling blue water is captivating, as are the reflections of the beautiful scenery and snow-covered peaks in the waters. Be enthralled by the Peaks of Lenin and Avicenna, which stand tall in all their majesty among the deep blue skies.

Spend the night at Karakul to see the Milky Way and unusual bird species in and around the lake in the morning. Hiking in this location will reward you with breathtaking views of the lake, hamlet, and mountains. In addition, while hiking, you will be able to spot some lovely birds.
