Murghab
Murghab sits at an elevation of 3618 meters above sea level. It's an intriguing area to explore at this elevation, above the forest line and surrounded by steep mountains. The majority of residents are ethnic Kyrgyz, a Tajik minority group. Murghab is an undeveloped hamlet known for its magnificent mountain range. If you enjoy mountains, Murghab is a must-see.
You may try Kyrgyz cuisine and see locals dressed in the traditional hat known as the Kalpak. Murghab also has a bazaar where you can buy low-cost Chinese items, handicrafts, and food. If you're interested in archaeology and history, go to Kana-ancient Kurgan's tomb.
Get out of town and go trekking or driving off-road near the mountain foothills. Other noteworthy activities in this area include yak trekking and observing Marco Polo sheep.
The hotels here are inadequate, but you might have a fantastic time sleeping in a traditional yurt or homestay with the people.
