Josee (2020)

Josée is a 2020 South Korean romantic drama film based on the Japanese short story Josee, the Tiger, and the Fish written by Seiko Tanabe. It was directed and written by Kim Jong-kwan. It stars actress Han Ji-min as Josée and actor Nam Joo-hyuk as Lee Young-seok. The film was released in South Korea on December 10, 2020.


A little city on Seoul's outskirts. Young Seok, a university student nearing graduation, encounters a woman in the street who has fallen out of her wheelchair and assists her in returning home. She eventually feeds him a basic lunch, and he develops a hazy interest in this woman who introduces herself as "Josée". Young Seok has stopped by Josée's house on occasion since then, enjoying free meals and getting to know this woman who reads a lot, knows a lot about whiskey, and tells him things he's not sure are genuine. They gradually learn to share an incredible love.
