Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)
Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a 2016 K-drama featuring a stellar cast. Fans love the drama, which stars IU, Lee Joon Gi, Kang Ha Neul, Kang Ha Na, Ji Soo, Baekhyun, and others. Nam Joo Hyuk joins the cast as the 13th prince Wang Wook, a passionate playboy with sophisticated and aristocratic manners. This was Joo-first hyuk's historical drama, in which he co-starred with his best friend Ji-soo.
In this story, Go Ha-jin (Lee Ji-eun) drowns in a lake and comes up for air only to find herself in the Goryeo era. She is then magically transported to the year 941 in the body of Hae-soo. In her confusion and desperate attempt to fit in, it was not hard to fall for 8th Prince Wang Wook—a man who was gentle and kind-hearted. But as she came to meet the other princes, the mysterious Prince Wang So (Lee Joon-gi) piqued her interest. He is terrifying, but his face is hidden under a mask. People avoid him, and he was given the pejorative nickname "wolf dog".
As the plot progressed, Hae Soo became involved in palace politics and the competition among the princes as they vied for the crown. But Hae Soo's bravado and acts of disobedience would have had her murdered early on, but she survives because the princes adore her. Even if she had the greatest of intentions, she is eventually eaten whole by the system she worked so hard to alter.
