Lycée Guébré-Mariam
The Mission laïque française was integrated into Lycée Guébré-Mariam (LGM) the same year it was founded.Maternelle (preschool) through the terminal, the senior high school year, is covered. All students receive multilingual instruction in French, English, and Amharic beginning in preschool.
A Full Responsibility Establishment (EPR) of the French Secular Mission (MLF) is Lycée Guebre-Mariam. The LGM is part of a network of 112 French educational establishments abroad, led by this French association, which is a non-profit recognized for its public utility. The network educates over 60,000 students across 39 countries.
The nursery school, which has been authorized by the French National Education, is divided into the following 14 classes: 4 Petite Section classes, 5 Middle Section classes, and 5 Grande Section classes. Students attend classes twice a week, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and from 7:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Every child enrolled in nursery school takes a "language course," with English or Amharic being the most common language. Nonetheless, all students continue to receive an introduction to Amharic to support our integration and cultural openness policies. In the spirit of the "language course," children from the Middle Section gain three hours of introduction to foreign languages.
The elementary program of Lycée Guebre-Mariam, which has been authorized by the French National Education, is divided into the following 29 classes:

- 6 CE1 classes
- 6 CE2 classes
- 6 CM1 classes
- 5 CM2 classes
Students attend classes twice a week, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and from 7:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Depending on the class levels, extracurricular activities are available during the lunch break and on specific free afternoons.
Every child gains from an hour of Amharic instruction and a reinforced English learning program, which consists of program times plus 45 minutes of English instruction per week on a topic covered by the French program. Ethiopian national students take a dedicated two-hour Amhar.
Projects like the Cultural Day, Talent Show, Language Week, and Francophonie Week, which are all run by students and overseen by organizations like CVC, CVL, and Maison des Lycéens, bring life to school life in middle school and high school.
