Zagol Academy
Zagol Academy is a private school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that offers Lower Kindergarten through Eighth grade with an emphasis on both English and Amharic. Zagol Academy's curriculum is based on the Ministry of Education's guidelines and emphasizes technology, teamwork, creative thinking, and English.
There are two campuses for Zagol Academy: one serves Lower KG 1, Lower KG 2, and KG, while the other serves its primary and middle school (grades 1–8). The locations of both campuses are close to Gift Real Estate, halfway between CMC and Ayat (Meri).
Zagol Academy immerses students in English while providing strong support for Amharic language proficiency. Every teacher and member of the administration speaks Amharic and English well and is qualified to instruct students in both of these languages.
Teachers emphasize a hands-on approach to science learning starting in Pre-KG. Students investigate and experiment to gain a deeper understanding of science lessons. Zagol Academy is always adding to its science lab supplies so that students can experience science firsthand and make their discoveries.
Ethiopia in particular is experiencing rapid growth and change in the world. Computers will play a major role in students' lives, careers, and educational experiences. Zagol Academy intends to expand its fully furnished computer lab annually.
Eight classrooms, a play area, a nap room, a playground, and a dining area are all located on the Zagol Academy Kindergarten Campus. This is an ideal campus for young children to play and learn. The Primary and Secondary School Campus, located just across the street, features ten classrooms, a large play area, a library with English books, a science laboratory, a pedological center, and a state-of-the-art computer room.
