Monsters, Inc.
The 2001 American computer-animated monster comedy movie Monsters, Inc. (Monsters, Incorporated) was created by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. Pete Docter, making his directorial debut, directed the movie, which also included the voices of John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Mary Gibbs, and Jennifer Tilly. John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton served as executive producers. The picture revolves around two monsters that work at the energy-producing factory Monsters, Inc., which produces power by frightening human children: the hairy James P. "Sulley" Sullivan and his one-eyed partner and best friend Mike Wazowski. A young human girl must be brought home after stumbling into the factory since the monster world feels that the kids are harmful.
In 1996, Docter started working on the movie. He co-wrote the script with Jill Culton, Jeff Pidgeon, and Ralph Eggleston. The movie's script was written by Daniel Gerson and Stanton. Over the course of the film's five-year production, the characters underwent numerous iterations. For the movie, the technical team and animators developed new techniques to recreate fur and clothing authentically. The fourth Pixar movie has music written by Randy Newman, who previously composed the music for the first three films.
