Paddington
Taking the top position in the list of the Best Family Comedies is Paddington. Paul King wrote and directed the live-action, animated comedy film Paddington in 2014. It was built from a story by King and Hamish McColl that was based on the tales of Michael Bond's fictional character Paddington Bear. Ben Whishaw voices the title character in David Heyman's animated film Paddington, which also has live-action performances by Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman. An anthropomorphic bear named Paddington makes his way from the jungles of "Darkest Peru" to the streets of London in the course of the movie, where the Brown family adopts him. In Kidman's role, a taxidermist tries to mount him for her collection.
Paddington was a British and French production made by StudioCanal UK, TF1, and Heyday that completed principal photography in June 2014. Paddington was initially going to be voiced by Colin Firth, but he withdrew during post-production and was replaced by Ben Whishaw.
